Riverside National Bank and its affiliated companies care about you and place a high priority on protecting the privacy of your financial information. We take a wide variety of precautionary measures throughout the bank to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal and financial information.

We also want to ensure that you receive all the information you may need to maximize the benefits you receive from your financial relationship with us. From time to time we may ask affiliated and non-affiliated companies to provide information to you on products or services that you may find beneficial. However, Riverside's policy gives you the option to tell us not to share your information for this purpose. You may also change your preference in the future.

But above all, we want you to know that we do not sell any of your personal information to anyone, nor do we allow any third party we do business with to sell this information.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND MAY DISCLOSE

We collect information necessary to deliver quality products and services to our customers. From time to time, we may provide information to reputable companies who help deliver our services to you or inform you about financial products and services. We only provide them with information that we believe is necessary to fulfill their responsibilities or to provide a financial service to you. These companies are prevented by legal agreement from using this information for their own purposes or selling this information to others.

We collect personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, phone number, assets and income.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance, payment history, and credit usage.
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency such as your creditworthiness and credit history.
  • Information from outside sources regarding employment, credit and other relationships.
  • Information from other outside sources such as data from public records.

We may disclose any of the above information that we collect to affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties as described below.

 

AFFILIATES TO WHOM WE MAY DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our affiliates are the family of companies controlled by Riverside. We may disclose personal information about you to our affiliates in different businesses, including banking, and securities. You may tell us not to share application information, consumer report information and information from outside sources among the Riverside family of companies by following the opt-out directions.

 

NONAFFILIATED PARTIES TO WHOM WE MAY DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Nonaffiliated parties are those companies not controlled by Riverside. We may disclose personal information about you to companies that work with us in order to provide marketing support and other services such as check printing and payment processing companies. We may disclose personal information about you as permitted by law, such as disclosures necessary to process and service your account, to protect against fraud, in connection with subpoena and legal process, and to protect the security and confidentiality of our records.

We will not share your account numbers or access codes with outside companies for marketing purposes.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION ABOUT FORMER CUSTOMERS

If you terminate your relationship with Riverside National Bank or its affiliates, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as may be permitted or required by law.

OPT-OUT DISCLOSURE

You may limit the Riverside companies, such as the bank and securities affiliates, from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that they receive from other Riverside companies. This information includes your income, your account history, and your credit score.

If you prefer that we not disclose personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures. That is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law).

If you wish to opt out of disclosures to affiliated and nonaffiliated third parties and limit marketing offers, you may:

If you have previously informed us of your preference, you do not need to do so again. Your decision to limit marketing offers from our affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties will not expire unless you revoke it.

A single opt-out notice received from any joint account owner will be considered as a request from all of the account owners to opt-out.

How to Limit Marketing from Others

The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/. You can register your home or mobile phone for free. Your registration will not expire.

The Credit Reporting Industry Prescreening Opt Out gives you a choice about whether to receive mail or e-mail pre-approval credit solicitations.  You can register by calling 888-567-8688 or visit optoutprescreen.com. You may also contact the Direct Marketing Association and request your information be placed on its do not contact lists.  You must include your name, address, telephone number and signature with your request.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

We strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts.   If you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please let us know immediately.  We are committed to resolving any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

Credit Reporting Agencies

If you believe we have reported inaccurate information about your account to any credit reporting agency, please let us know in writing.  Be sure to include your complete name, current address, Social Security Number, telephone number, account number, type of account, specific item of dispute and the reason you believe the information is wrong.  Send your notice to: Riverside Bank, 2810 South Federal Highway, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.   We will investigate your concern and correct any inaccuracies we find.  We will inform you of any actions we take.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.


We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

How You Can Help Protect Your Privacy

We recommend that you take the following precautions to guard against the disclosure and unauthorized use of your account and personal information:

  • Do not share your account information, passwords, user ID’s, PINs, code words or other confidential information with others.
  • Do not provide confidential information by telephone to unknown callers. 
  • Do not provide confidential information online unless you initiated the contact, know the party with whom you are dealing, and provide the information through a secure channel.
  • When conducting business over the Internet, always use a secure browser, exit online applications as soon as you finish using them, and make sure you have virus protection and a firewall and update them regularly. 
  • Protect and properly dispose of your account records.
  • Report lost or stolen checks, credit and debit cards immediately.

Identity Theft Assistance

Monitoring your credit for accuracy is an important step to take in protecting yourself from fraud and identity theft.  By law, you are entitled to receive one free credit file disclosure every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. To learn more or request a copy of your credit report, visit annualcreditreport.com or call (877) 322-8228.


If you believe you may be a victim of identity theft:

  • Contact your local police and ask to file a report. Even if the police can’t catch the identity thief, having a police report can help you in clearing up your credit records later on.
  • File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Call the FTC’s identity theft hotline toll-free at 1 (877) IDTHEFT (438-4338). The hotline is staffed by counselors trained to help victims and take their complaints. You may also file a complaint online at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov

  • Call the fraud departments of all three credit bureaus. Ask them to put a "fraud alert" on your file. This tells creditors to call you before they open any more accounts in your name.

You should review a current credit bureau report to identify any unauthorized accounts or inquiries and ask the credit reporting agency about placing a Victim Alert Flag on your files.

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
